About Allen Armstrong
The Photographer
Allen Armstrong is a Filipino-American Photographer. He studied photography at the Southeast Museum School of Photography. There he learned all the basics of photography and print making. He excelled in FineArt photgraphy and Alternative Processes, developing his own variation of the “Paper Negative”. Allen worked for 3 years at The Southeast Museum of Photography. There he had the opportunity to meet and talk to many of the world’s leading contemporary fine art and professional photographers. He was also often surrounded by works of the Masters of Photography.
The Photography
The photographs featured here on the site range anywhere from 1992 to today. Most of the photographs are film, ranging from 35mm to 4×5 large format photography. I enjoy using all types of film, and experimenting with them… from black and white to polaroid transfers onto hand-made paper.
